My child does not seem to be reading and writing like I expected. Am I crazy? Dyslexia is the most common and most studied, yet most misunderstood, learning difference. This informational class will introduce the biology of dyslexia, tools for recognizing dyslexia, and the options available for the dyslexic learner. Parents with students of all ages will benefit from information regarding scientifically proven reading and writing strategies as well as how to accommodate all types of learners. Additional time will be allowed for a question/answer session. Instructor is a professional in the field of language-based learning disabilities and has advanced training in dyslexia.
