July 14-18
Walnute Hill, TBD
Think of this camp as a Fisher-Price inspired toy and art project all rolled into one. Students make their own toy farm on a wooden board and create a small wooden stick barn for the animals and a home for the people. Using wooden peg dolls, students will be shown how to make their own animals and people to play with on their farm. They will make play food for their people to grow for themselves and their animals, including tiny bales of hay. There is even a fishing pond with small play fish and a bridge the students make. The children will make a small toy campfire that lights up for their people to cook their vegetables on and an area for a picnic with a blanket. Maybe they could even have a cookout or a picnic with all the farm animals enjoying the food – it’s up to your child’s imagination! At the end of the week, students will take their projects home where they can move the objects around and create new adventures.
