In this 3 day culinary camp we will prepare foods from the basic food groups. Students will learn how to measure, use a stove top, oven, and basic knife skills. Students will prepare a variety of delicious foods that could be served as entrees, sides, or snacks. We will discuss healthy options for each of these foods and also some treats. Skills students will practice will be the biscuit method, working with yeast, and preparing some meat products. All food is provided. Students will need to bring a notebook and pen each day.
*All food allergies or food customizations can be accommodated for if they are noted at time of registration. Foods are ordered and purchased prior to the class starting and we need to know what students can or cannot consume. Examples to note in registration would be: gluten free, dairy free, does not consume pork, vegetarian, other food allergies, etc.
