This class is designed to grow young artist's communication skills, collaboration abilities, and confidence. Students will learn how to create characters, design production components that contribute to the show, understand how to move on stage, how to translate thoughts into a show, and the value of listening and working together. The class will culminate with a final performance for friends and family.
Class objectives: To understand the production elements of a play, how to create characters, how to communicate effectively multiple ways, how to listen better, how to work in a group setting to be creative, how to use our voice in a positive way, how to express ourselves appropriately, how to work through challenging situations, how to pay attention to nonverbal communication to better understand situations, and how to have confidence in one's own abilities even if one isn't perfect.
