Expecting a baby? This four part course will provide ways for your and your support person to prepare your mind and body for labor. Taught by a certified childbirth educator, we will focus on breathing and positioning techniques, the physiological and psychological aspects of labor and pushing, comfort measures, pain management options, and unexpected circumstances that may occur during your labor. The course includes writing a birth plan, learning what medical options are available to you during labor and delivery, and preparing for bringing your baby home. Supplies for class that are helpful but not required: yoga mat, long scarf or bedsheet, comfortable clothing.
